Associate Implementation Consultant

  • Hybrid
    • New York City, New York, United States
  • $83,600 - $83,600 per year
  • Professional Services

Job description

UpSlide is the number one productivity solution provider for financial services. Our software dramatically improves the functionality of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Power BI and enables users at firms like Citi, KPMG, and BNP Paribas to focus on high-value tasks rather than formatting or copy-pasting. We’re scaling up with 160+ employees across our offices in New York, London, Paris (HQ), Singapore, and Berlin.

Our values ✨

Our values guide our approach to work and are at the heart of our recruitment process. To join our team, we look for individuals who value:

  • Excellence: We think that every detail counts, and we place great importance on the quality of our deliverables.

  • Trust: We are passionate, committed, and free to act with autonomy.

  • Happiness at work: We enjoy looking on the bright side and we share our enthusiasm with our colleagues and clients.

The team 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

You will be joining the US Professional Services team which is currently made up of 4 consultants; Josephine, Rebecca, James, and Majhon, the Team Lead.

As a team, we often work closely as advisors for each other on projects and regularly help each other out where possible. We run weekly team meetings, set internal initiatives that excite us most, and enjoy an annual mini-teaminar - this year was a Yankees game!

You’ll also be part of the wider US team of about 20 people across Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, Support, and Marketing.

Here are some of our team rituals:

  • We have quarterly social events from happy hours to theater to ultimate frisbee.

  • Yearly seminar in Paris: It’s a unique opportunity for teams to connect, collaborate, and enhance the overall cohesion of the UpSlide global family.

  • Weekly goûter: Every Wednesday evening the office meets up for snacks, drinks, games, and lively banter.

  • Monthly social events: Once a month, we organize an “around-the-world” exploration of diverse foods and cultures in our team lunch. These moments create a relaxed atmosphere for team bonding.

Team goals 🎯

The team is focused on our north star of helping UpSlide grow ARR. We do this by focusing on excellent project deliveries and driving early adoption.

  • High client satisfaction on projects delivered

  • New users hit usage goals at month three post-deployment

Your responsibilities 🖋️

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Implementation Consultant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with clear communication skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a natural curiosity.

As an Associate Consultant, you will become an expert in UpSlide and the financial services industry while delivering improved workflows and productivity to our clients. You will quickly be onboarded to be autonomous in delivering your own client projects and additionally providing support to Senior Consultants on more complex ones.

A big part of your role will be ensuring clients use the tool and set the account up for success - retaining our 98% renewal rate!

  • Manage the installation and configuration of UpSlide from scratch on a Microsoft platform

Securing Adoption

  • Responsible for onboarding plans for clients of a smaller size

  • Running end-to-end training sessions on the full UpSlide offering

  • Work with colleagues to design the solution, if needed, to provide in-depth technical solutions to clients

Client Relations

  • Handle client relations through effective communication throughout the project duration

  • Lead requirement gathering scoping meetings

Product Knowledge and Contributions

  • Support the product team on client insights where required

  • Create Zendesk articles and videos for the UpSlide user community

Your goals ⚡

At UpSlide, your career growth is a priority. We’ve designed a clear and supportive career path to help you thrive from day one.

Job requirements

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel

  • A client-centric mindset as you consider their long and short-term needs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you are a confident communicator with the ability to explain (sometimes complex!) things in a clear and concise manner

  • The ability to switch contexts quickly and easily, managing multiple priorities at the same time

What your onboarding will look like 🚀

Your journey with UpSlide kicks off with our 4-month onboarding program. This well-structured period is here to make sure you feel fully supported and set up for success.

  • Month 1-3: Initially, you spend time meeting the global teams and absorbing their knowledge through various sessions. Around month 3, you'll start gaining hands-on experience through smaller, client-facing projects, and you’ll serve as a key support on larger projects alongside a more senior consultant. By the end of this phase, you'll have a strong foundation of the knowledge you'll need in your role.

  • Month 6: At this stage, you’ll have most of the knowledge and skills to independently run projects and tackle almost all client questions. While you may still be gaining experience to fully hit your stride, you'll be well on your way to becoming autonomous in leading projects.

  • Month 9: Equipped with deep knowledge, confidence, and independence, you’ll now be handling projects autonomously and acting as a trusted advisor to our clients.
