Job description
UpSlide is the document production layer for financial services.
We orchestrate LLMs, machine learning, and workflow agents within Microsoft 365 to deliver reliable, quality outputs in the most efficient and cost-effective way. As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, with 14+ years supporting financial services teams, we bring together expertise from the tech, finance and design fields to help clients like KPMG, BNP Paribas, Rothschild & Co. boost productivity while improving brand consistency across their corporate documents.
We are a certified B Corporation, upholding the belief that businesses should have a positive impact on society.
Our values ✨
Our values guide our approach to work and are at the heart of our recruitment process. To join our team, we look for individuals who value:
Excellence: We think that every detail counts, and we place great importance on the quality of our deliverables.
Trust: We are passionate, committed, and free to act with autonomy.
Happiness at work: We enjoy looking on the bright side and we share our enthusiasm with our colleagues and clients.
The team 🧑🤝🧑
You will join the IT & Infrastructure team composed of Lounis Hammar, Steve Garnier and Tim Biyot.
You will work day-to-day with the Engineering Team and the UpSlide Support Team.
Team goals 🎯
This role is not primarily L1 support; it focuses on platform reliability, dev enablement and workplace engineering, while contributing to support through automation and scalable solutions.
Your responsibilities 🖋️
Mission 1 : Run and evolve the Cloud Platform (Azure) with an SRE mindset
Own day-to-day operations
Drive improvements of our Azure infrastructure (availability, performance, scalability, cost).
Define and implement reliability practices: monitoring standards, alerting strategy, incident response, postmortems, runbooks.
Improve resiliency: backups/restore strategy, DR scenarios (RPO/RTO), regular testing of recovery procedures.
Standardize cloud governance: subscriptions, RBAC, tagging, policies, resource conventions, access reviews.
Mission 2: Observability ownership (Datadog)
Own Datadog configuration and coverage: dashboards, logs, traces, monitors, alert tuning and noise reduction.
Ensure meaningful service-level visibility (SLO-style indicators when relevant) and actionable alerts.
Partner with dev teams to improve instrumentation and operational readiness.
Mission 3: Dev Enablement: CI/CD, pipelines and test environments (Azure DevOps)
Be the infra point of contact for the dev team on devs topics: pipelines, release processes, environments, access.
Maintain and improve Azure DevOps pipelines (templates, reusable tasks, approvals, gated deployments, security of service connections).
Build and maintain reliable test/staging environments (repeatable provisioning, environment parity, automated teardown where possible).
Improve developer experience: self-service patterns, documentation, “golden paths” for new services or apps.
Mission 4 : Infrastructure as Code & automation
Own and expand IaC (Bicep): modular patterns, code reviews, environment consistency.
Automate recurring operations (provisioning, standard changes, patching checks, compliance reporting).
Reduce manual and tribal-knowledge ops via standardized workflows and documentation.
Mission 5: Modern Workplace: Windows 11 + Intune + M365 foundations
Improve and maintain endpoint management at scale (Intune policies, compliance, app deployment, Autopilot, update rings).
Strengthen identity/device security posture (Conditional Access alignment, MFA, device compliance-driven access).
Build automation/self-service to reduce L1/L2 load (packaging, scripted remediations, onboarding/offboarding flows).
Partner with IT support to improve processes and reduce ticket volume (root-cause fixes, tooling, reporting).
Mission 6 : Documentation, standards, and internal “platform product” mindset
Maintain clear documentation: architecture diagrams, runbooks, onboarding guides, troubleshooting playbooks.
Define and evangelize standards across cloud, pipelines, monitoring, and workplace configuration.
Act as a multiplier for both IT and Engineering through clear processes and a service-oriented approach.
Your goals ⚡
First 30–60 days
Map current platform & workplace posture (Azure, ACA, Datadog, Intune) + quick wins list.
Reduce top alert noise and publish a core dashboard pack + incident/runbook baseline.
Stabilize pipelines with templates + secure service connections basics.
End of Probation
Repeatable staging/test environment provisioning (IaC + pipeline triggers).
Endpoint baseline improvements (Autopilot/Intune posture, compliance-driven access).
Backup/restore and DR runbooks tested at least once for key services.
Pay and benefits:
Salary range covers multiple career levels and will be refined during interviews based on experience.
Job requirements
You are a great fit if you have:
At least 4 years of experience with one of the three major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with hands-on experience in Azure being preferred.
Previous experience in backend development is highly valued.
Fluent English (C1 or above).
Ownership and autonomy: you operate independently and drive ambiguity through to shipped outcomes.
This is a Paris-based, hybrid role with around 2 remote days per week.
✨ If you don’t tick all the boxes but you think you’d be a great fit, please apply and tell us why.
Recruitment process
First screening with our Talent Acquisition team (40 min, phone or video): mutual fit and motivation.
Manager interview with Lounis Hammar (Head of IT & Infrastructure) on site - 1H30
Final interview with François Bard (CTO) - video - 45min
🚀 We'll conduct a reference check to learn how to help you thrive!
⚡ On average, our process lasts 3 weeks.
What we offer
Make a real difference and be at the very centre of a self-funded and growing SaaS company (doubling every two years for the past 10 years)!
✅ General: Tickets restaurants (Swile), healthcare (mutuelle - Alan Blue), transportation (50% reimbursed), holidays (25 vacation days and 8 RTT)
