Job description

UpSlide is the number one productivity solution provider for financial services. Our software dramatically improves the functionality of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Power BI and enables users at firms like Citi, KPMG, and BNP Paribas to focus on high-value tasks rather than formatting or copy-pasting. We’re scaling up with 160+ employees across our offices in New York, London, Paris (HQ), Singapore, and Berlin.

Our values ✨

Our values guide our approach to work and are at the heart of our recruitment process. To join our team, we look for individuals who value:

  • Excellence: We think that every detail counts, and we place great importance on the quality of our deliverables.

  • Trust: We are passionate, committed, and free to act with autonomy.

  • Happiness at work: We enjoy looking on the bright side and we share our enthusiasm with our colleagues and clients.

The team 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

You will be joining a team of four, part of a wider sales team of fifteen. You’ll be reporting to one of the two Sales Directors (Jonny and Artur) and working closely with the Business Development Representatives (SDRs) and other AEs to generate pipe and strategize on key deals.

Team goals 🎯

We aim to triple our ARR over the next three years and you will be a big part of that!

We’ve challenged ourselves to work on the most complex, exciting, and high-value deals. We create strategies, we build account maps, and we multi-thread our way up the ladder to the key decision-makers.

You will be providing value to our clients in the most complete and all-encompassing way. We work closely with our prospects to understand their needs, conceptualise possible future workflows for them, and plan so that UpSlide’s impact on their business is maximised.

Your responsibilities 🖋️

As an Account Executive, you’ll work directly with prospective clients to learn their unique needs and consult on how UpSlide can help solve their business challenges. You’ll be directly impacting the growth of the UK office by helping to grow and shape our sales strategy.

  • Build a high-value sales pipeline by working with the Business Development Representatives (SDRs), attending events, networking, and cold outreach

  • Meet with prospective clients to understand their unique needs, present solutions, and discuss project scope, timelines, and objectives

  • Expertly deliver across all stages of the sales cycle

    • Manage complex procurement, commercial, and legal processes to close new business

    • Navigate long-term strategic engagements while implementing quick wins to shorten the sales cycle

  • Work with Sales Leadership to optimise our sales processes and the overall strategy of the UK office

    • Establish strong lines of communication between pre-Sales, Marketing, RevOps and Product

    • Contribute to new market strategies, demonstrate our unique value proposition, and establish key competitive differentiators

Your goals ⚡

At UpSlide we have a career path designed with your growth in mind. For this AE role, we’d expect to see you:

  • Mastering our product/offering through onboarding and delivering on an early-stage pipeline within three months

  • Working on larger, more complex deals and closing top new logos after six months

  • Consistently executing on a robust and high-value pipeline whilst also contributing to the continued improvement of the UK sales strategy after nine months

What makes us unique? 💪🏽

As an AE in the UpSlide UK team, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of different-sized accounts, from boutique advisory businesses to Tier One banks or the Big4. We trust our AEs to make an impact in Year 1 and encourage them to push the boundaries to reshape what excellence looks like.

Working across geography and financial services sub-vertical, our AEs have exposure to a range of prospective clients and solve complex challenges daily.

Job requirements

You are a great fit if you have:

  • At least one year of experience closing deals

  • A competitive hunter mindset with a passion for meeting and exceeding targets

  • A proactive and goal-driven mindset

  • You’re able to join us in our central London office twice a week – we operate a hybrid working environment, with at least two days in the office each week so that we can meet, collaborate, and socialize

We’d love it if you have:

  • Experience working in financial or professional services

✨ If you don’t tick all the boxes but you think you’d be a great fit, please apply and tell us why
