Job description

UpSlide is the number one productivity solution provider for financial services. Our software dramatically improves the functionality of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Power BI and enables users at firms like Citi, KPMG, and BNP Paribas to focus on high-value tasks rather than formatting or copy-pasting. We’re scaling up with 160+ employees across our offices in New York, London, Paris (HQ), Singapore, and Berlin.

Our values ✨

Our values guide our approach to work and are at the heart of our recruitment process. To join our team, we look for individuals who value:

  • Excellence: We think that every detail counts, and we place great importance on the quality of our deliverables.

  • Trust: We are passionate, committed, and free to act with autonomy.

  • Happiness at work: We enjoy looking on the bright side and we share our enthusiasm with our colleagues and clients.

The team 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

At UpSlide, our team goals are centered around expanding our market reach and establishing strong connections with key clients. As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll play a crucial role in driving our success by researching industries, executing targeted outreach campaigns, and securing meetings with senior executives to create new business opportunities. Your contributions will directly impact our business growth and enhance the effectiveness of our sales efforts. We look forward to having you on board to help us achieve these exciting milestones!

You will be an integral part of the dynamic and collaborative UpSlide team, working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about transforming the way people work with Microsoft Office.

You'll be working directly with Ben, the BDR Manager.

Ben joined UpSlide as a BDR, closed key deals as an Account Executive, and is now leading the UK BDR team — David, Rosie, Max, Anna, and Conor.

Why we’re different from other sales teams?

We strive to make UpSlide the best place to work in your career. Here are a few reasons why our sales team is different:

  1. We’re trusted advisors to our prospects and clients - our goal is to always provide value to our prospects by having meaningful conversations and acting in their best interest

  2. We thrive off working as a team - we know that working together and sharing knowledge is the best way to drive us forward

  3. Continuous improvement and development - we always look to improve our skills, add creative aspects to our work, and adapt to the market around us

Company culture

We believe in fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Here are some of the team rituals that contribute to our vibrant culture:

  • Team lunches: We often go out for team lunches to celebrate wins, reflect on projects, or simply socialize as a team.

  • Weekly goûter: Every Thursday afternoon the office meets up for snacks and chitchat.

  • Monthly social events: Once a month, we organize social events, ranging from team-building activities to casual outings to yoga classes. These events create a relaxed atmosphere for team bonding.

  • Yearly seminar in Paris: The yearly seminar in Paris is a key highlight for the UpSlide team, bringing together members from different offices around the world. This event, hosted at our Paris headquarters, serves as a unique opportunity for teams to connect, collaborate, and enhance the overall cohesion of the UpSlide global family.

Weekly, you will have:

  • 1-1s with your Manager for coaching and training

  • 1-1s with Account Executives to strategize on outreach to target accounts

  • Meetings with the BDR team and the wider UK team to share achievements, discuss challenges and brainstorm new initiatives

  • Calling sessions with the team to engage with prospects

What your onboarding will look like 🚀

Your journey with UpSlide kicks off with our 4-month onboarding program. This well-structured period is here to make sure you feel fully supported and set up for success.

  • Month 1: Initially, you spend time meeting the global teams and absorbing their knowledge through various sessions. You will learn about our target market, sales cycle, product, tech stack, prospecting strategy, and more.

  • Month 2: You will start reaching out to prospects with the support of your team and manager, gaining experience speaking with individuals in our core target market. By the end of this phase, you'll have a strong foundation of the knowledge you'll need in your role.

  • Month 3: You will continue to refine the skills learned in the first two months through practice and role-play sessions. In month 3, you will be sourcing high-quality prospects and leading intro calls with the support of a team member.

  • Month 4: At this stage, you’ll have most of the knowledge and skills to independently source, engage and nurture prospects. While you may still be gaining experience to fully hit your stride, you'll be in a great position to have high-value conversations with your prospects.
